COURSE NOTES: Introductory Psychology

Psych101 graphic

Additional Notes

"Psych 101" is, in the mainstream American college tradition, a survey course that presents the breadth of psychological theory, practice, and research. Many students (and instructors) find that the ambitious scope of the course feels somewhat like racing through (or flying over) the nation's beautiful landscape: we see a lot, but miss the opportunity to pause and truly understand and appreciate many details. That more leisurely pace is afforded in later psychology courses, which permit greater depth.
